Guillermo Martínez La MadrileñaGuillermo Martínez holds degrees of cello and chamber music from Conservatorio Superior de Música of Murcia (SP), getting also a bachelor in arts at the university in Murcia.

He specializes in early music and baroque cello receiving coaching from Anner Bylsma, Rainer Zipperling, Lucia Swarts and Gaetano Nassillo, as well as chamber music and orchestral coaching from Fabio Biondi, Christopher Hogwood and Emilio Moreno. For several years he benefits from a scholarship to study baroque cello with Itziar Atutxa in the early music department at Salamanca University.

He carry out an important activity as a cellist in baroque and classical repertoire collaborating with orchestras such as La Madrileña, Musicos de su Alteza, Forma Antiqua, Hippocampus or La Capilla Real de Madrid with whom he has recorded for the companies Alpha and Verso. He has performed all over Europe and Latino America.
