Guillermo PeñalverLA MADRILEÑA - FLUTE
Flautist Guillermo Peñalver began his studies in Sevilla with trumpet. Then he switched to recorder and traverso studying with M. Martin, N. Stern, W. Dickingson, Ph Suzanne and Wilbert Hazelzet. He got a scholarship to study traverso in Touluse (FR) and The Hague (NL).
He has performed with lots of early music ensembles and orchestras all over Europe and Latino America. He is member of La Madrileña, Orquesta Barroca de Sevilla, La Tempestad, el Concierto Español and Canto Divino, and he collaborates with relevant formations such as Cafe Zimmermann, La Ritirata, Nereydas, Hippocampus, Forma Antiqua, La Capilla Real de Madrid, Al Ayre Español, Conductus, Zefiro, l’Europe Galante and La Grande Chapelle among others. Guillermo is a founding member of Poema Harmónico, Extramundi and he forms duo with guitarist Mercedes Rodríguez Carmona.
He has participated in a numerous recordings, radio and tv programs. He has been recorder teacher at Conservatorio Superior de Sevilla and Conservatorio Profesional de Cádiz. Since 2014 he is traverso teacher at Real Conservatorio Superior de Madrid.
