Raquel TaviraLA MADRILEÑA - VIOLA
Tavira Raquel Fernandez was born in Madrid. She studied music at the Arturo Soria Conservatory with Myriam del Castillo, where she obtained the viola degree with Honor Award and piano degree. Then she finished her studies at the Royal Conservatory of Madrid with Emilio Mateu, obtaining the title of viola professor with honors, and in Music Theory. She has made many courses with violists Alan Kovacs, David Quiddgle, Bruno Giurana, Nobuco Imai among others. She belonged to the Youth Orchestra of the Community of Madrid and the School Symphony Orchestra, she was viola soloist in both orchestras.
She collaborates with various orchestras such as RTVE, Philarmonica Orchestra of Galicia, Madrid Symphony Orchestra, National Orchestra of Spain, Andres Segovia, among others, making lots of recordings.
Currently a member of the Symphony Orchestra of the Community of Madrid. She cooperates with groups like La Madrilena, Zarabanda and La Spagna.
